Finding the Right Agent

Not all real estate agents are the same. If you decide to seek the help of an agent when buying or selling a home, you will need some good information before you make any move.

Picking the right agent is one of those critical issues that can save you thousands of dollars. There are very specific questions you should be asking to ensure that you are getting the best representation for your needs. Many agents would prefer that you don’t ask these questions.

1. Are they the right and suitable agent to represent your needs? Do they have a proven track record of “Buyers” and “Sellers”, complete with past clients that you can speak to?

2. Do they have the combined knowledge, background and “know how” of home buying, contracting and engineering?

3. Do they identify defects during the home showing and give full disclosure. Many homes contain undisclosed problems visible to a trained professional.
